Degree(s) Offered: Master of Science (M.S.) in Animal Sciences, Thesis and Non-Thesis Options
The Animal Sciences graduate program offers specialty areas such as nutrition, parasitology, silvopasture, breeding and genetics, reproduction, and biotechnology. Cattle, poultry, goats, and a variety of other domestic and laboratory animals are available for research. This program is flexible in terms of research and coursework so that students can achieve their career and individual objectives. Students complete approximately 30 credit hours, including a research thesis (thesis option) or professional project (non-thesis option).
The program is designed for working professionals and others who wish to complete an advanced program in Environmental Science without disrupting careers. The program is interdisciplinary, with a core and electives. Students complete 32 credit hours, including a 6-credit project. Training areas include climate change, watershed management, environmental health, toxicant transport, soil health, and ecosystem management.
*Two paths for acceptance are available for MS in Environmental Sciences and MS in Environmental Management.

Full acceptance requires meeting the above requirements and approval by the department, school, and TU Online Admissions.
(2) Provisional Admission
Provisional acceptance is based on registration for one course. Full acceptance is granted upon completion of two courses with a grade of “B” or better.

This program provides advanced training in technical and managerial skills for careers in environmental protection, sustainability, and workplace compliance. Students develop management skills and technical knowledge for positions in environmental policy, auditing, and management related to air, water, soil, and climate change adaptations.

The vision of the MSW program is to train the next generation of social workers to fight for social and environmental justice in Alabama, nationwide, and globally. Graduates will demonstrate leadership, ethics, practice skills, and research knowledge.
The online MSW program emphasizes trauma-focused curriculum, health disparities research, telehealth, and global education. Concentrations include Social Work with Healthcare and Social Work in Behavioral Health.
Courses are fully asynchronous and meet Quality Matters standards. Instruction integrates technology such as simulations, AI, GIS mapping, and data science. Students will have opportunities for diverse internships, both domestic and international.
