Master Of Science In Environmental Science*

The program is designed for working professionals and others who wish to complete advance program in Environmental Science without disrupting careers or staying on campus. Program is inter-desciplinary with a core and electives. Concentration area is chosen in consultation with advisory committee. Students complete a total of 32 credit hours that includes a 6 credit project. Program areas include a broad areas of training including climate change, watershed management, environmental health, fate and transport of environmental toxicants, soil health, nutrient  and ecosystem management.  Project areas are designed to meet student's needs and can be done in cooperation with employers.

NOTE: Two paths for acceptance for  MS in Environmental Science

(1) Complete and submit online application
    •    Be in good financial standing—able to submit official transcripts—with other schools attended.
    •    Submit a written statement of interest 
    •    Submit 3 letters of recommendations
    •    Submit GRE score
    •    Possess a regionally accredited US bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent before enrolling in admission courses.
    •    Demonstrate English language proficiency.
    •    Be in good academic and financial standing with Tuskegee University, with no disciplinary or administrative procedures pending.

Full acceptance is based upon submission of all requirements (1 above); and
Acceptance by the department and college/school and TU Online Admissions
    
(2) Complete and submit online application 
    •    Possess a regionally accredited US bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent before enrolling in admission courses.
    •    Complete 2 courses online with “B” or better grade  at TU in the desired degree area.

Provisional acceptance is based upon submission of requirements (2 above) plus registration for one course.
Full  acceptance is based on completion of two courses with minimum B grade.

*In accordance with the policies of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Tuskegee University has provided notification to SACSCOC regarding the delivery of certain online courses.  To secure SACSCOC approval to offer these programs entirely in an online format, the next phase of the process involves a formal request from Tuskegee University to SACSCOC and that request is currently in process.

Current online degree programs available are pending accreditation approval from Tuskegee University's regional accrediting body the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
